Overview
In this Sabad, the Guru has drawn a vivid picture of the awe-inspiring ‘Arti’ that is being performed in nature, in contrast to the ritualistic ‘Arti’ that is carried out by lighting lamps on a platter in Hindu tradition.The Arti of the transcendent IkOankar is constantly being performed through the natural actions of the entire manifest creation, the sun, moon, stars, air, water, fire, vegetation, etc. In the transcendent state, IkOankar has no form, color, shape, or appearance. But in the manifest state, IkOankar is pervading through all the forms of the creation. IkOankar’s consciousness (light) alone is infusing life in everyone. This manifest light becomes evident through the Guru’s teachings.
