The thirteenth pauriis accompanied by two saloks. The first salokhas six lines, and the second salokhas fourteen lines. In the first salok, Guru Granth Sahib’s perspective has been proposed/established in the backdrop of the popular understanding of ages in the Sanatan tradition. In the second salok, each age has been related to each Veda one by one, symbolically describing the prevalence of all four ages. Additionally, a lesson in loving devotion of IkOankar has been imparted towards the end of the salok. The pauriconveys that for a human being, crossing the world-ocean is possible only by obtaining the spiritual wisdom from the true Guru.
